      Dear perants
I hav but a few moments to write    we hav just recieved marching orders to leave for the south farther    we hav to stack our tents and start this after noon    if you hav not sent my box just keep it untill you hear from me again    we hav just heard that one of our own guards has just shot himself    no more at this time    from your son
